WTO TBT Enquiry Point
Under Article 10 of World Trade Organization (WTO), Lithuania committed to establishing national Enquiry Point which answers to all reasonable enquiries from other WTO members. Enquiries can include information about technical regulations, national standards and conformity assessment procedures. Lithuania set up national Enquiry Point in 1996 and responds to enquiries through official representative – Lithuanian Accreditation nd Standardization Agency (LASA).
Information for Lithuanian authority institutions and other WTO members
Lithuanian national institutions have a right to ask for information, regarding national standards, technical regulations, legal acts of conformity assessment procedures, adopted or proposed by other WTO members. Accordingly, other WTO members can make an enquiry about Lithuanian standards, technical regulations, as well as legal acts of conformity assessment procedures.
